Vehicles in Germany's City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Police mentioned they were notified by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Around 50 vehicles have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Officers state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then located numerous other marked vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report early analysis show the liquid was likely human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its origin; investigators are not yet aware of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they added.

City officials stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the public for details.

An important representative commented the vandalism made him speechless and required to be resolved promptly.

"This incident affects the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on online, mentioning the death of nine victims by a assailant focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
