Major Russian Strikes Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were wounded.

The strikes come after nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
